Business model
Sparelane is an Australian recurring-payment orchestration platform. Merchants retain the billing relationship and submit payment obligations through Sparelane. Consumers maintain a shared payment profile with primary and backup methods, subject to merchant-specific consent.
Sparelane attempts collection before the due date, may try authorised backup methods after an eligible decline, and instructs payment to the merchant only after the funds are confirmed eligible for payout. If all methods fail, both parties are notified and the consumer arranges payment with the merchant.
The merchant receives the full bill amount; Sparelane separately invoices the merchant for subscriptions and successful-collection fees. No payment guarantee or credit is provided. Stored consumer balances are deferred.
To validate: legal discharge of the consumer obligation, settlement and chargeback exposure, partner custody structure and regulatory permissions.
