  • Payment mix: 90% card / 10% bank.
  • Average bill: $120.
  • Monthly merchant subscription: $299.
  • Bank success fee: 1.00% + $0.35 ($1.55 per $120).
  • Card success fee: 2.25% + $0.35 ($3.05 per $120), with 2.50–2.75% under consideration.
  • Estimated cost per bank transaction: $0.80; per card transaction: $2.73.

At 2.25% card pricing, blended transaction revenue is $2.90, cost $2.537, contribution $0.363. At 500 successful payments per merchant per month, the contribution plus $299 subscription is $480.50 per merchant/month. Against assumed fixed overhead of $40,000/month, break-even is approximately 84 merchants.

These estimates exclude extraordinary losses, working capital, detailed chargeback reserves, provider custody fees and full staffing. Commercial validation and actual partner quotes are required.
